Add to cart button not working what did i do wrong

Im trying to test orders but i cant .

Hey @Th5 .

Thanks for reaching out.

Just to gather some additional context, did you make any custom coding changes to the online store theme? Also, would you be able to provide your online store URL with us? As this will allow us to assist you better in this situation.

If you have made a custom change to your online store theme, you can duplicate your theme and rollback to an older version of your theme by navigating to Online store > Actions > Duplicate theme/Edit Coding.

Looking forward to your response, let me know if that does the trick.

www.thinkus.life is my URL. I duplicated my theme like you said but what am i coding? ok well take a look and lemme know thanks ollie!

ok ollie so i can roll back in my original theme but not in my duplicate. How do i connect the 2?

Hey @Th5 .

Thanks for the quick response.

Now that you have rolled back the original theme, are you able to successfully use the Add to Cart button on the online store? I suggested that you duplicate your theme before rolling back the changes so you keep the original store design. There is not a method of merging the two themes together, however - you can choose to have one theme live on your store by Publishing the theme by navigating to Online store > Actions > Publish.

I took a screenshot from my test store to show you the section I am referring to:

You should be able to place a test order to see the checkout process that your customers will have to complete.

Let me know if you have any questions.

IT WORKED OLLIE THANK YOU! …so how do i get back the ‘‘back and forward’’ buttons i edited in my original theme before?

Hey @Th5 .

Thanks for the quick response.

By any chance, could you let me know which theme you are using? As this context will help determine the next steps to add the back and forward buttons back on the theme.

If you are unsure about which theme is live on your online store, you can navigate to the Theme Editor and select the three dots that are appearing towards the top left of the page. I took a screenshot from my test store to show you the section I am referring to:

Looking forward to your response.

Sure, i’m using the “Dawn” theme. Um…Also would re-editing, re-create the same problems ollie???

Hey @Th5 .

That is a great question!

Looking into the Dawn theme, I noticed that there isn’t a way to add the arrows using the Theme Editor. However, you could make a custom coding change to have the arrows available for your online store. If you are familiar with making coding changes, you could potentially copy and paste the coding from the previous theme and add it to the duplicated theme. Keep in mind - that this may cause the Add to Cart button to no longer function as before.

Since the Dawn theme is designed and supported by Shopify, we can use free design time for Shopify themes to have our internal team make the changes on your behalf.

If you are interested in using the design time, you will need to login to your online store using the Contact Us page. This will allow us to securely verify you as the store owner before speaking directly with a Support Advisor about the changes you would like to see.

Alternatively, you can reach out to any available Shopify Expert if you would like to hire an individual to complete the task.

Let me know if you have any questions.
