Add to cart discrepancy on analytics versus live view

Hi! I’ve noticed an issue on my shopify store over the past 2/3 weeks where there is around 7x more add to carts on my live view (yes, I’m checking every 10 minutes roughly!) versus what’s being logged on the analytics page. I understand that there can be factors that impact the analytics page such as cookies/private browsing etc but this is excessive and far more than anything I’ve encountered before. I’ve reached out to shopify on numerous occasions and they’re insisting there isn’t anything wrong. I’d appreciate hearing if anyone else has encountered the same issue and if anyone might have a solution to the issue.

I use the ‘impact’ theme on the shopify store.

Thanks in advance!

Phil

I’ve had issues with Shopify analytics being off before too. If GA4 is fine, it’s probably on Shopify’s end. I’ve been using Cartlytics to track cart data and double-check my numbers and it’s been helpful in catching inconsistencies

Hi everyone, today I believe I have now finally found the issue. All that time ago I uninstalled a cookies app thinking the code was completely gone, when I searched for it in my code I found it to still be there so it’s been blocking all that data. The app was pandectes but this may be similar for others. IF YOU UNINSTALL A COOKIES APP PLEASE CHECK THE CODE FOR ANYTHING LEFT OVER!!
