Add to cart picks 1st item by default regardless of inventory availability. How do i fix this?

Hello,

we have an “add to cart button” under all items on the product pages. If you click to add an item directly from this page shopify adds the 1st item on the list of options by default regardless of whether it has inventory available. What are some steps or options to correct this or can someone at least point me in the right direction to solve this issue?

Hi @randy-bks ,

You want on click, if the first variant is out of stock, it will choose the next variant. Or do you want to add variant selector here?
