Adding an additional colour to background - Dawn Theme

Hi - Hoping someone can help me, I’m new to Shopify, using Dawn theme & I want to add a transparent background to some of my headers so I can overlay the text (without a white text box background) over image banners etc.

However Dawn theme seems to only allow me to have 2 background colours so when I change one of these to transparent it obviously effects the whole website.

Step 1: Go to Online Store->Theme->Customize theme
Step 2: Section Image Banner-> Disable this settings:
