Adding Blender Animation to Shopify Homepage

Topic summary

  • How to add a Blender-created animation (~5 seconds) to a Shopify homepage using a standard theme.

  • The store is not yet created; the requester plans to use a default Shopify template and wants guidance before building the site.

  • A helper asked for the site URL to review and propose a solution, but none is available yet.

  • The helper confirmed it’s possible via theme customization/code, but no specific method, steps, or code were provided.

  • Not discussed: export/format of the animation (e.g., video, GIF, WebM, interactive 3D), how to embed it (media section, custom Liquid/HTML/CSS/JS, or app), autoplay/loop/sound behavior, performance/optimization, or mobile responsiveness.

  • No attachments, code snippets, or theme details were shared.

  • Outcome: No decision or implementation yet. The request remains open. Next steps likely require either a live store URL/theme details for tailored instructions or general guidance on embedding a short animation in a Shopify theme.

Hi Ketan,

Thank you for offering your help! I have not yet created the website but it will be a standard Shopify template. I wanted to have the animation designed in Blender first before building the rest of the website. The animation will be roughly 5 seconds long. So just wondering how I go about adding a Blender animation to a Shopify website.

Thanks again

Louis
