My company’s website has been created by a third party years ago. Once we decided to add an on-line store, this third party linked Shopify to our website. So to clarify, our website is not a Shopify website. We only use Shopify as our e-commerce link, and I think this is part of the issue I am having. In the beginning, our on-line store only had a handful of items so it was pretty simple and everything has worked very smoothly. We now have enough products where I would like to create Collections. I created the Collections manually, and browsed through my products and added the appropriate products to each of the collections. Each Collection has a collection image as well. When I’m in the individual collection, and see all the products under it, on the top right corner of the screen is ‘Actions.’ When I click on that, the option to ‘embed on a website’ is offered. Once I click on that I chose ‘Open product details’ under ‘Action when people click.’ Then there is the code underneath that. This code is what I copied and sent to my third party website people. She said it’s showing the items originally, but when she added the code it’s not ‘pulling through.’ She went on to say our Shopify inventory is not showing up. I have no idea what’s wrong, or if I set it up wrong, or what to do. I’m not very tech savvy, and since I’m relaying what my website people are saying, I’m frustrated because I’m the middle person here. Please help!

Thank you for reaching out about this and I can definitely understand your frustration to be in the middle like this!
The steps you shared are correct and should be generating the appropriate embed code for your collection. If your website developer is having an issue with the code you sent them, I would recommend going through the steps and recreating the code for them.
To ensure they are getting the code content in its entirety I would paste the code into a simple notepad file or into a google doc and share it with them that way.
Also, please feel free to share a copy of your embed code here (I can remove it once we are done troubleshooting if you like) and I can test it on my own external testing store. If you would like to try sharing the embed code here in the forums please use the “Insert/Edit code sample field” to do so:
You can also temporarily provide a staff account to your developer so they can export the code themselves if you feel comfortable with them having access. If you aren’t sure how to create a staff account for them, please follow this link: Managing staff · Shopify Help Center.
If for any reason you are still not able to get this resolved I would ask that you send us an email ticket, with your developer CC’ed on it for replies as well, and ask them to share as much details as possible on what they are experiencing on their end (screenshots please!). From there our technical support can further assist.

Thank you for responding as this has been pretty frustrating for me. I did send the code in a simple format (Notepad) and it still didn’t work. I will attach the file that I sent them with my instructions and code. I’m also going to try and attach a link to video they made to show me what popping up. Please bare with me.
When you click on our ONLINE STORE:
1. Under the text, ‘Online Store’ it currently shows photo of each product/quick description (title)/price/with the View Product button. Instead of this, please show the collections here.
Shopify Collections:
1. Turf Saver RTF
2. Turf Blue Pro
3. Turf Star RPR
4. HGT
5. Yellow Jacket Seed Coating
6. Green Earth Products
All collections should show the photo I already chose when creating them in Shopify. Then it should have a ‘View Products’ button/bar underneath.
2. When they click on the collections’ View Products, it should take the customer to another page where it will show pictures of each product under that collection, a quick description (title)/price/View Product buttom/bar.
3. When they click on the products’ View Products, it should take it to another floating page where it shows the full description, price, and ability to add to cart.
I already have all the products linked to each specific collection.
I just need for it to go live with the codes.
