A workflow like this is definitely possible with Easify Product Options and can be a great way to display multiple images for each color variation instead of relying on Shopify’s default single variant image behavior.
I’ve created a similar demo to help you better visualize how it works:

The setup is fairly simple. You can create separate products for each color directly in Shopify and upload all related images to each product individually. This allows every color to have its own dedicated gallery and mockup set.
- This is the app setting:
Inside the app, you can then create a Color option using Image Swatches so customers can switch between colors visually on the product page.
From there, you only need to use the Add/Edit Cross-product links feature and attach the correct product URL to each swatch color.
Once configured, clicking on a color like Black will automatically open the corresponding Black product along with its full gallery of images, rather than changing only a single featured image.
This method is especially useful for clothing, fashion, and POD stores that showcase multiple angles, mockups, or lifestyle photos for every color option, while also keeping the shopping experience much cleaner and easier to navigate
