Hello, Can I add more than 3 options to the Shopify product page (Admin)? I want to use something other than any third-party app for custom options.
i couldn’t find the code for these options. They show up in meta fields but without definitions and i can’t add or edit them.
Hello @Luffy001
It’s GemPages support team and glad to support you today.
Unfortunately, Shopify limited to 3 options and 100 variants

If you don’t want to use 3rd app (the product option apps)
then try using metafield

Hi Gempages, Thank you for answering,
i tried adding metafeilds but they show up under Add to Cart button and I need those options under my previous 3rd option. (Image is attached)
Hi @Luffy001 ,
I’m interested to know why you prefer not to use a third-party app for your needs. It’s worth noting that they can help you achieve Unlimited custom options, offer various option types, and simplify product variant management.
If you’re open to it, I would like to suggest the Free Easify Product Options app
.
With this app, you are unrestricted by Shopify’s limitation of 3 options per product. Furthermore, it offers 25 option types to present your custom options, including checkboxes, dropdowns, buttons, radio buttons, text boxes, dimensions, quantities, image/color swatches, switches, and many more.
You can either create your product variants and add custom options solely through the app, or create all options within the app without generating variants during the product creation process.
Let me to provide a quick demonstration of how you can use the app to set up your desired options:
- Start by creating a new option set:
- Add an option for customers to choose a “Connector B” using the Buttons option type:
- Include an option for customers to select the desired Length using the Buttons option type:
Since you have a lot of length options, there are 2 better ways to present your options:
- Using Dropdown option type instead:
- Or, you can use a Number text box that allows customers to enter their desired length. You have the flexibility to set a minimum and maximum value to ensure valid inputs. In your case, with 36 possible values ranging from 1 inch to 36 inches, you can set the minimum value as 1 and the maximum value as 36:
- Once you’ve set up your option set, simply assign it to the relevant product(s):
You can also easily configure the settings to have the custom options appear either below/under the product variants or below/under the add-to-cart button.
As you can see, it’s a straightforward process to create your product options with the Easify app. I hope you reconsider and give the app a try in the future. It offers user-friendly features and has the potential to meet your requirements effectively
