Hi,
After being prodded by Google to upgrade my Global Site Tag on my Shopify site, I went through the steps to do so within Google Analytics and also pasted the new snippet within Theme/Liquid on Shopify.
The new site tag starts with “G-” The original one starts with “UA” but the Google Analytics area in Shopify Preferences only accepts the original format and says to upgrade the Analytics account in order to use the new Enhanced Ecommerce account. After doing so within Google, the Shopify preferences continue to not accept the new tag.
Not sure what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
