<span;>• Hello i am currently updating my store with a huge collection of my art & photography, i need to add another option to all of my existing products “Other Product” so if i add anymore products my customers can choose that option, so that in the future i can add more products to " the eager beever printshop" how do i add the option to all of my existing collections of products rather than doing it one by one ? Have a look at the link below, you will see that i have a list of products to choose such as canvas, framed prints ect, i just need “other product” adding to the product option drp down list as in the picture in most of my collections i used to do this with the shopify bulk editor but it does not do the job since it changed, i am not good at editing code can anyone help ?
I know of no other native way in Shopify than exporting it to a csv an editing it there. This feels terrible though. If you want to do that try it with just a few products first.
The only other way is to write a statement with graph QL
Thank you for the reply i am a newby to websites so writing any type of code is way beyond me the built in shopify bulk editor used to do the job but no longer adds option values in bulk so its a weeks worth of going through each product to change thank you for the help
These product options are for products that you want to list on your site. if you might need to add products later on you can do that then. if you don’t know what products you may add later then you shouldn’t be adding it to the site now. you should add it later on.
regarding the bulk edit with upload file. every option needs to be another line in the upload file.
I Dont think you understand what i am asking and how my website works, the products are allready on the website and i a need to put the option on the existing products so i can add other products at a later date, my website works perfectly i was just asking for an easier way to bulk edit my products, thanks for the advice anyway i will google it as always
Yes. I think I understand what you are saying. If done correctly, you can always add options later. Even if you did not set up options to begin with.
Yes i know but you cannot do it in bulk only one at a time due to shopify limiting the bulk editor i have managed to deal with it anyway
