We are an optics center in Southern California, and we decided to expand our market by creating a Shopify e-commerce site.
We need to figure out a way of translating the physical process of someone coming into our brick and mortar location. This would be the process of:
- Choosing a frame.
- Then selecting the service to be added to that frame.
- Then submitting their currently eyeglass prescription
The frame could be optical or sunglasses. The service could be frames by themselves. Optical with Single Vision Rx, or Sunglasses with Single Vision Rx with tint added.
The frames are taxable and the service is non-taxable.
I want to be able to have the buyer choose the frame (that’s taxable) but then click to add the non-taxable service on the same product page. The choice of service will be conditional to whether a there is field to upload their eyeglass RX on the checkout page; and I want everything to be be on their own separate line item with individualized price on the invoice.
Is this a tall order? Can someone direct me somewhere?
