hi. i am currently working on the Shopify refresh theme. i want to add personalized text boxes on product page. how can i add personalized text boxes in shopify refresh theme?
The easiest way to do this, and the way I would recommend you do this, is to use one of the following third-party apps. These apps allow you to add additional customization details to your product pages. I’ve included a list of the popular ones below, but you can also find a list of other product customization apps on this page.
- Product Customizer by E-commerce Tools
- Bold Product Options by BOLD
- Infinite Options by ShopPad Inc.
Another option would be to edit your theme following this tutorial. This tutorial is not supported by Shopify, but if you have knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid you would be able to do it on your end. A Shopify Expert may also be able to help you complete it if you choose this option.

While you’ve already received some suggestions, I’d like to offer you another simple solution without any coding required. You can use the Free version of the Easify Product Options app to create personalized text boxes for your products 
. Here’s a quick demonstration on how you can do that:
- Create a new option set:
- Add the Text Box (or Text Area, if you expect longer inputs) and customize its details, such as option label, text length, placeholder, help text, info, etc.
- Finally, select the product(s) where you want to add these text boxes.
As you can see, setting up personalized text boxes with the Easify Product Options app is both easy and efficient
