Adding Product Description next to image and in Quickview

Topic summary

Issue: In the Copenhagen Shopify theme, the text shown next to the product image and in Quick View appears to come from a theme customization text block, not the product’s Admin Description. The requester wants this area to pull directly from the Admin Product Description to avoid duplicating updates.

Context: Quick View is the product preview modal. Two screenshots were shared, but they appear to show the front-end result rather than theme/backend settings.

Attempts: Reordering fields and reducing image size did not change the behavior.

Request: Guidance on linking the displayed text to the Admin Product Description field.

Response: A helper asked for backend theme settings and any app backend screenshots to diagnose, stating they cannot assist without seeing those configurations.

Status: Unresolved and pending. Next step is for the requester to provide backend/theme settings screenshots so the source of the description field can be identified and adjusted.

Hi,

I’ve just installed the Copenhagen template, primarily because it appeared to display the Product Description next to the product image and also include it in the Quick View feature.

However, I noticed that the text being displayed is not pulling from the Product Description field in Admin, but instead from a separate text block within the theme’s customization settings. Updating descriptions this way would significantly increase the time needed for me to update each product, as I’d have to make changes in both the admin and customization sections.

Is there a way to link this field directly to the Product Description in Admin to streamline the process?

I have already tried adjusting the field order and reducing the image size, but the issue remains.

I’ve already tried to change the order of the fields and reduce image size.

Thank you for your help!

Hi @Alex25

Without looking to the theme settings and app back end settings i cannot help you. Do share screenshots of the backend so that i can look into it.

Thanks
