Adding Product Descriptions to Email Confirmation Email

I’d like to be able to include the product description for each item purchased in the order confirmation email, but am having some trouble figuring out exactly how to do this. Any old topics I’ve found don’t seem to work properly - ie: adding in the below code. When I do so, it includes the descriptions of both items all on one line item as if they were one.

{% for line in line_items %}

…

{{ line.product.description }}

{% endfor %}

I looked into this for you and asked our theme support team to take a look also. This is something which is definitely possible to do. The code edit for this is a little complicated and is past the scope of simply sharing it in a reply within the community here. It’s not ideal as it might not be very helpful for other community members, but if you wanted I could email you directly about this and send it to our theme support team to look into this closer for you.
