Adding School Shops to Menu and Sub menus

I have just gone live with my workwear store.

My question is, i have schools for which I supply uniforms, I have created this collection in the menu and added 1 school , the problem is I need to open a page to give instructions and then also add instructions on each school page. please see screenshot. (the screenshot website is not shopify but I need to create something similar with images for each school option and descriptions.

There are several options:

  1. You can put all this into collection description and it will be shown on collection page.

  2. If you have a handful of these collections, you can create a separate template for each of them and then you can add content and sections in Customizer to each of those templates.

  3. If you have many, you can create and attach metafields to each collection, and then they will share the same template which will pull this data from each collections metafields via dynamic sources…

So you can have 2 sections, say “Rich text” – one will have text which is common to all of them, and another will pull specific text for each particular school from metafields…

Or you can have a Page with a special template where you would put all the common text and add a “Featured collections” section where you will put links to specific school collections.

I believe there are other approaches as well..

Step 1: Create the Main ‘Schools’ Collection

Go to Products > Collections, then click Create Collection.

Name it “School Uniforms” or similar, set type to Manual.

Add general instructions in the description (e.g., sizing guide, delivery info).

Save the collection.

Step 2: Create a Collection for Each School

Repeat the collection creation process for each school.

Name it (e.g., “Broad Haven Primary School Uniforms”).

Upload the school logo under ‘Collection image’.

Add school-specific instructions in the description (e.g., delivery days).

Set to Manual and save.

Step 3: Add Products to Each School’s Collection

Go to Products > Products, open a uniform item.

In the Collections section, add it to the relevant school’s collection.

Save and repeat for other products.

Step 4: Add ‘Schools’ to Your Navigation

Go to Online Store > Navigation, choose your menu.

Click Add menu item, name it “Schools”.

Link it to your main “School Uniforms” collection.

Save the menu.

This setup lets customers browse by school, view tailored instructions, and shop easily.
