Adding Signature Confirmation option for buyers?

I would like to give the buyer the option to add signature confirmation (for free) to their shipping as many have said they would like to sign for packages to prevent mail theft.

I understand that I can have multiple shipping options for them to choose from (UPS, USPS, etc) and initially was going to add “signature confirmation” as an option. However only one selection for shipping is allowed and I do not know how else to add this.

Is there any way I could have buyers somehow tick a box if they want signature confirmation added?

Thanks in advance for your help

how has this just NOT been figured out yet??? This is a common sense feature. DO BETTER shopify.

I also need this solution! Why can’t customers see the same options at checkout (such as “add signature confirmation”) that I can see when purchasing the shipping label? I have no way for my customers to choose that they want to require a signature and to collect the extra fee for that when they place the order. The Shopify help articles are useless - I KNOW I can add signature confirmation when purchasing the label, but that’s not the problem. I need the customer to be able to have this option when checking out, and to pay for it if they want it.

Anything? I’ve been looking EVERYWHERE for this option.

I ended up creating a listing for $5 for signature confirmation, then putting the link for it in our cart page.

STUPID, but it’s all I’ve figured out so far.

I use the “gift wrap” coding option to add the signature required option in the shopping cart - but this is before the customer moves to the next window to select shipping options, so it is not ideal.
