I use my store’s announcement banner to display my current processing time, since it changes semi-regularly. I was hoping to be able to reference that announcement field and include it in the order confirmation email template, similar to how you can reference a customer’s name or cart note, but I’ve been unable to find any documentation that would support this. Is this possible?

To confirm - you want to sync the announcement bar to your order confirmation email so that when you update the information within the announcement bar, it will auto-update within the confirmation email. Is that correct?
I’m unsure if the auto-update will be possible, as this depends on the theme you use. However, you can always manually update the confirmation email template at the same time as you update the announcement bar. That will require editing the template within the Notifications settings in the admin. If you want to take it one step further, there are some apps in the Shopify App Store that can help you edit your order notification’s a little bit more - such as Orderly.
If you don’t feel comfortable editing the template code yourself, you can always reach out to our Support team. Our team may be able to customize this for you if you use Shopify free theme and your store has enough complimentary design time left.
