Address Validator - BEFORE the order is placed

Hi - we are struggling to find an address validator for use by the customer BEFORE the order is placed. Having the customer or us receive notice of incorrect address AFTER ordering - and after shipment - results in major headaches and cost.

A great solution would only allow the customer to place an order AFTER the address is validated.

Welcome your ideas!

Thankyou!

Hi** @eatmebfc ,**

I completely understand how important it is for customers to enter the correct shipping address prior to placing their order. This will help prevent being charged re delivery fees, incorrect address placement and other costs that may be acquired. This can ultimately save you and your team a lot of time! Rest assured, I’ll be happy to share with you some options.

I do have a couple third-party app options that can input this feature on your store. I would like to advise that third-party apps are designed by the app developer. If you need further assistance with the app, you can navigate to the Shopify App Store and select Get Support underneath Support. I’d also like to share our help center resource for more information on getting help with third-party apps.

The app Shipping Address Validator allows a customer to enter the correct address in order to avoid failed deliveries, shipment delays, returned shipments and redelivery cost fees. The app displays a suggested address if a customer enters it incorrectly. It will also prompt the customer to enter an alternative address if the initial address entered is undeliverable. For more information on this app specifically, feel free to check out their FAQ page.

A second app option is, Validar Address Validation that can help prevent failed deliveries and avoid shipping delays and returns. This app will display a prompt on the Thank You page if a customer enters an address incorrectly. It will advise the customer if they’ve entered an incorrect unit number and will provide the customer with a suggested address. If a customer skips the prompt, you have the option to set up a reminder email to the customer.
