Adjust shopify theme on different screen size

Hi all!

I have an issue with my new website: I see different layout based on the screen I use (I’m not talking just about desktop and mobile but also referring to different screen sizes).

On my 13´´ screen I see the layout as I want, but as soon as I change monitor (a bigger one) I see a different layout.

For example, here you can find a page of my website: https://www.pastadeus.com/pages/box

the title of each product should be displayed on 3 lines but as you can see from the screenshot below this is not happening. I have the same issue also for the home page with the logo, sometimes I see it not on the left side but close to the center. Could you please help me? Is there a way to adapt automatically the website to the screen size?

Many thanks!

Hi @Scod ,

Thank you for getting in touch. Can you tell me first of all which theme you are using, and if you’re just seeing this issue on this single page or elsewhere on the site?

I accessed your storefront through my monitor and similarly see an issue with the page’s layout:

Official Shopify themes are built to be responsive, meaning that the shape and layout of the page will change depending on the size and shape of the device being used to access the storefront, but clearly with most of the page’s content drifting over to the right there is something not working properly here. Can you also tell me if you’ve made any changes to your theme’s HTML?

Hi @Victor_5 ,

First of all thanks a lot for your reply. I’m using the theme Brooklyn but I have to admit that together with a freelance I have modified some pages. Now unfortunately I’m not able to fix this issue

Indeed I can see from your screenshot the wrong layout as all product pictures should be aligned to the left.

Any idea on how to correct/check the code?

Many thanks!!

Hi @Scod ,

Right, I see. Are you still working with this freelancer? I thought from a first glance that the code may have been altered as it was strange to see the text on your site so off-kilter, so I would imagine that these code changes are the reason for this issue.

I would recommend contacting our support team directly so you can be authenticated on the store and this issue can be sent to our themes team for further review. I am hopeful that they will be able to fix the issue but if not, you can always install a blank version of the Brooklyn theme and work with that theme file instead.

ok thanks! I will contact the support team then
