Adjusting header padding & margin (Dawn theme)

Hi, I am trying to adjust my Shopify header’s padding.

I saw on other forum discussions but it doesn’t seem to work for me, or I adapted it wrongly.

How do I make my header responsive to the rest of my content? As you can see, the header is too narrow compared to my content. FYI, the container I’m using for my content is width 1 FR, fill & 32px
