I’ve been on Shopify for 6 years now, and often times than not I get frustrated over design updates. The admin panel is aesthetically pleasing, clean and cool looking but was there thought put in ease of use or speed?
There was another update made on the product page in admin panel and another step back in terms of usability imo.
We used to be able to easily navigate through products. In my particular use-case we have thousands of products and hundreds of product types and vendors. It used to be very easy to find product types/vendors, IRCC there was a search box that you can type in and filter out the product list. Shopify decided to take the search box out, fine. I used Ctrl+F to find what I was looking for.
But now with the most recent update I AM UNABLE to CTRL+F to find what I need! I have to SCROLL through hundreds of product types or vendors to find what I am looking for.
How is this smart design?
What are you doing Shopify design team? Stop focusing on aesthetics and please focus more on speed and usability. I can only speak for myself, but I much prefer and care about how fast we can do our jobs and not how pretty something looks.
ps. The tagging system is slow and clunky now. It was fine how it was 5 years ago.
