Up until May 2026 the splash admin page at least had the top-level store metrics visible. Now, they are reduced to a tiny speck at the top, and instead I get a useless spinning globe graphic. I don’t even sell internationally!
I’d really like it if Shopify allowed us to change the main admin landing page natively to what is most useful to the MERCHANTS. You can put your advertising below it…selling us financing, apps etc. BUT AT LEAST ALLOW SOME USEFUL CONTENT.
I’ve been on this platform for 5 years, store is doing fine. Why does the admin keep getting worse?
Same issue others are hitting. It’s a 2026 admin resignation, not a bug.
No way to revert it or customize the homepage right now.
Best options :
Skip home, use analytics overview instead for your real numbers.

Hi @Eric_Schrader I’m so sorry that you’re experiencing this
I understand your frustration particularly when you’re accustomed to having imediate KPIs visible on the home screen. Shopify has been advocating for a livelier home experience, but it does take away some of that instant clarity for existing stores.
One practical workaround is to direct link to Analytics Overview, or a saved report so that bypass the splash page and have your key metrics up front and center. Many merchants also pin a custom dashboard using Shopify Analytics plus a reporting app such as Report Pundit or Better Reports to simulate that snapshot view.
