I noticed yesterday that even though I have the FB Sales Channel enabled with “Maximum” data sharing, my pixel does not share the Advanced Matching Parameters for the events ViewContent & AddToCart. I also initiated a checkout and it’s not in that event either.
Look at the screenshots below to see the difference. Left one is mine, with only the basic info. Right one is someone else, with that extra “Advanced Matching Parameters Sent”.
I have set up the FB Sales Channel and connected it to the pixel
I have set up Shopify > Online Store > Preferences > FB Pixel with the same pixel
My gut feeling was that one of the devs I worked with may have broken this somehow, but since the data does not show on InitiatedCheckout either, I’m not sure what’s going on. Oh, and I tried deleting & setting up again the FB Sales Channel.
@Nelty I’m finding out very quickly Shopify support is awful. You are on your own even if you use their full ecosystem (their theme, Facebook Channel integration).
Hey I tried to solved it but like you either Facebook or Shopify that are not helpful. // Maybe in the settings of Facebook, maybe in automatic advanced matching parameters try to keep only with parameterssuch as name,surname, email address ? for me i always have the problem “server sending external id but not pixel”. By the way are you sure that the pixel helper in your printscreen the right side one is from shopify native connection or from some third party app connection?
