Getting traffic is easy. It’s converting that traffic into sales and ultimately loyal customers is what matters. Unfortunately, you chose the p.o.d./dropshipping route.
The best thing you can do is to change tactics before you lose the battle. You need to put yourself in the customer’s shoes, and look at your store from a customer’s point of view.
You go to a random website and browse around. You see a pair of cheap Alibaba slippers and you see the price. It’s 53 dollars. That immediately would send anyone running. Now let’s look into this site… It has no official business email. Just a generic Gmail account that anyone can get. No address. About page says “Always Blessed Print is a family owned and operated small business”. And you know that’s a lie because, again, it’s not yours. It’s dropshipping. So, you need to ask yourself “Would I buy these $53 slippers from an unknown website with no credentials and zero evidence that it’s not a scam?”
The products aren’t yours. You didn’t create them. You don’t print them, or press the designs. You don’t ship them. You basically have nothing to do with the customer’s order.
The products aren’t printed with love, they’re not packaged with love, they’re not shipped with love. So… why are you even doing this? And this goes back to changing tactics before you lose the battle. There is no service in dropshipping. You aren’t doing anyone any good.
If you have to start small, then by all means. It would be much better if you personally sent my package, and perhaps put in a thank you card with it. Going local is another great way to get people to see you care about what you do. You can sell to your friends at church. You can go to the Sunday Market and display your products. But this. This dropshipping scheme is not going to win.
Hi,
Hope this will help
- Optimize pages for SEO and GEO .
- Use one or two social media platforms consistently.
- Consider very small-budget ads at first
- Strengthen trust with clear policies, reviews and strong product photos.
- Engage in niche communities without promoting directly.
- Track Shopify analytics to see where the real bottleneck is.
Hey @blessedprint1025! To increase traffic and start getting sales, focus on a few fundamentals first:
- Start with 1–2 traffic channels instead of everything at once (e.g. Instagram/TikTok content or paid ads, not all).
- Use social proof early: testimonials, UGC, or even early feedback from friends/customers help build confidence.
- Drive intentional traffic: organic content (short-form video works well), influencer seeding, or small, targeted ad tests.
- Set up email capture (welcome discount or value offer) so traffic doesn’t go to waste.
It’s normal for sales to take time at the beginning. Focus on learning, testing, and improving one thing at a time rather than expecting instant results. ![]()
Congrats on launching your store! Focus first on driving targeted traffic through a mix of organic content (short-form social posts, SEO basics) and small, test-and-learn ads, and make sure your product pages, pricing, and checkout are conversion-ready before scaling traffic. Or you could use 4Seller as assistance.
Hi!!
- You can use Google Ads to generate immediate traffic. The campaign and your landing page must be very well optimised.
- SEO: traffic for the future without paying, but it will take months and a lot of effort to achieve.
Good luck with your project!
Hey @blessedprint1025,
Big congrats on launching your store! That’s a huge step and it’s great that you’re already thinking about how to grow. It can feel overwhelming at first, but there are a few things you can focus on right away that’ll make a difference.
First, try to get some traffic in the door. Start posting consistently on Instagram or TikTok (or wherever your ideal customer is hanging out). Don’t worry too much about perfection, just show your products in action, share why you started, and let people connect with you. If you have a bit of budget, running a small ad campaign to test what kind of content gets clicks can also be helpful.
Second, focus on building trust. Make sure your site has clear return and shipping info, maybe a short brand story, and try to add reviews (even if they’re just from friends who’ve tested your products at first). People buy when they feel like there’s a real person or story behind the brand.
Once you start getting a few orders, that’s when it’s worth thinking about how to keep those customers coming back. That’s where something like a loyalty and referral program can help. I work with an app called TrustWILL Loyalty & Referrals (we recently rebranded from Loloyal) that lets you reward customers for things like signing up, making a purchase, or referring friends. You can even build out VIP tiers or perks to make loyal customers feel valued. It’s fully customizable too, so it’ll blend in with your brand’s look.
You don’t need to set that up right away, but having a retention plan early on will definitely pay off later.
If you feel like sharing your store link or product category, happy to give more specific tips!
Hope this helps a bit!
If it does, feel free to mark it as a solution so others can find it too ![]()
Hi there @blessedprint1025 the best starting point is to make yourself acquainted with all the major points of marketing which are social media marketing, SEO marketing and e-mail marketing. Learn about these three at a basic level and how they can be best used to scale your business.
After that, you can then move into the more advanced mechanisms for results like building mailing lists for your email marketing program and running paid ads across social media platforms.
Congratulations on opening your store! To drive traffic, target influencer collaborations, paid social media posts, and product descriptions optimized for SEO. A few reviews and a little paid advertising can go a long way toward building trust. Monitor which sources of traffic are generating clicks, and make adjustments. If you test, your traffic will turn into sales.
Congratulations on launching your store. it looks exciting that you’re diving into e-commerce🎉
A few things that usually help new Shopify stores get traffic and start converting:
Leverage social media: Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest are great for sharing products and reaching new customers.
Use product reviews & trust badges: Even a few reviews can increase visitor trust and improve conversions.
Set up a simple sales funnel: Guide visitors from landing pages to checkout smoothly — this boosts sales from your traffic.
Start small with ads: Test small-budget campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok to see what works best.
Hey @blessedprint1025 ,
Welcome and congrats on getting your store up and running! That’s already a huge step. I had a quick look at your site, it’s clean, the message is positive, and your niche feels personal, which is great.
Since you’re just getting started, here are a few things I’d focus on first:
1. Start driving traffic where your audience already is
Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, whatever makes sense for your product and target customer. Try showing behind-the-scenes content, packaging, or just real use cases. You don’t need to go viral; just start building visibility one post at a time.
2. Build trust with every touchpoint
Even if traffic is light, you want people to feel confident about buying. Things like clear shipping/return policies, product reviews, and a simple About section that tells why you started the brand all help with that.
3. Give people a reason to stick around
Early on, most people won’t buy on their first visit. So think about how you’ll bring them back, email list, discount pop-up, or even something like a loyalty program.
That’s where something like TrustWILL Loyalty & Referrals can be a great long-term tool. It lets you reward people for signing up, making purchases, sharing your store with friends, or even just coming back. Super helpful once your traffic starts growing and you want to encourage repeat purchases or referrals.
You don’t need to set that up on day one, but keeping customer retention in mind from the start is never a bad move.
Hope this helps a bit!
If it does, feel free to mark it as a solution so others can find it too ![]()
