_agentClientInfo?

Hi, can anyone shed light on what might be adding this custome attribute to my orders? THank you!

I noticed the same thing start within the last 48 hours on our orders.
The field didn’t exist before than but it does align with when we updated our Horizon theme to 3.3.1.

I’ve also found this appearing on stores. At first I thought I had tracked this down to Microsoft clarity app, or a pixel that was loading this information at product level on the front end (using chrome dev tools to identify).

despite removing the clarity app, and integrating manually, this is still appearing - and somewhat driving me mad.

Would welcome anyone else’s thought or insight on this.

Also to note. This is not related to horizon theme as the stores I’ve seen this on do not use horizon.

also not appearing on EVERY store. But also, not on every order either (where it is seen within a store)

Following… I have clients that are also experiencing this and I can’t find the root cause. I also thought it was the Microsoft Clarity app, but removing that didnt help. I also found another app that mentioned “__agentClientInfo” in the order notes, but even after removing that, we still have orders where this is being added.

Searched all code bases for all my clients, not coming from the themes either. If I do find a root cause I’ll post an update here.

Had the same problem pop up and solved it by disabling brandAgents_js from Microsoft Clarity.

Following …
We also removed the Clarity app and integrated it manually, but the issue is still occurring, although not on all orders — and it’s honestly starting to drive me a bit crazy as well!

I’m not sure if it’s related, but I noticed that this seemed to start around the time Shopify had the major issue on February 20th where the Shipping profile state / province fields were automatically removed, and we had to add them back manually before we were able to start receiving orders again.

I would really appreciate if anyone has any thoughts or insight on this

i Dont even have clarity.

Hi @Alumafashion

Order custom attributes are typically added by apps, custom code, or checkout modifications. Typical culprits are upsell applications, subscription applications, or any application that adds, removes, or modifies the line items or the fields in the checkout. Review your installed apps, theme scripts, and checkout settings—temporarily disabling apps one by one or going through scripts to see if you can identify the culprit.

Hello, have you found the root cause of this yet as one of my client is also facing the same.?
