AI "support" bot -- shopify's new gatekeeper to avoid ever providing actual support

Shopify removed links to Community and Support Chat in the shopify admin – literally only way to attempt to get support is to feed their useless, time-consuming bot. Just another way Shopify makes it nearly impossible to get actual support (while they enjoy making even more money off the data we paying customers have to spend a ton of our time providing).

The only option to access Community means having to login separately in a different window, which is time consuming and super frustrating when managing more than one shopify store. Even the links to Community in shopify’s own emails don’t work because of their new bot gatekeeper.

It’s never, ever been easy to get support from a human at shopify, but now with the AI bot firmly in place from both the admin dashboard and email links and webpages and more, it’s darn near impossible unless you’ve got hour(s)+ to waste.

Booooooooo, Shopify. At the very least, bring back direct links to Community and Support Chat in the shopify admin.

Just wait until you get 15 replies here in this “Community” forum, from profiles that are less than a week old, that are copy/pasted from some ai chatbot…

just tell the bot, straight away, “speak to a human”. No need to explain the bot what is your problem. And it will pass you to a human in the next message.

Sorry, that’s not the case in our experience at all…
