I want to align the payment icons in my footer, anyone have some idea here? 
I have tried to reduced the icon size without luck. Hope someone has some things i can try out.

- Please follow these steps:
- Then find the base.css or theme.css file.
- Then add the following code at the end of the file and press ‘Save’ to save it.
.footer__copyright {
width: 350px !important;
text-align: center !important;
}
- Here is the result you will achieve:

I have reviewed your requirement, you just need to edit css script and the issue will be resolved. You can follow my instructions!
Step 1: Go to Admin → Online store → Theme > Edit code:
Step 2: Search for the file base.css. And add this code snippet to the end of the file.
.badgesContainer .badgeContainer {
width: 40px !important;
height: 40px !important;
}
IN this step, you can change the value of width / height of payment icons on your footer as you want.
In my example, I choose 40px
Step 3: Save and reload home page.

If you see the text over the icons are almost invisible, can we make it in white color like the copyright text?

It seem like your class wrap the text over the icons was rendered by js file.
You can try this way:
Step 1: Go to Admin → Online store → Theme > Edit code:
Step 2: Search for the file theme.liquid. And add this code snippet before tag or :
Step 3: Save and reload home page.

It works like a charm and could not be more happier with this, i have changed many small things who make things better for sure. I very grateful to have friends like you here to help me, you have been such a great guy to work with. Great solutions and never give up, for me who is totally blank on these things. I cannot code or nothing but i have got much help from many good humans, i have started a store without knowledge and built stone for stone. I can not call me a designer either but i try small things who fit better without destroy the whole theme.
