Hi,
I’m so very confused by this. I’m basically just trying to make the very bottom of the soles lign up with each other, they’re pretty close but they’re not exact. I’ve spent ages with ChatGPT who suggested many things but nothing worked. All the photos are on the same sized canvas, the very bottom of the soles are 80px up so photographically they should be closer than they appear on Shopify. Does anyone know how to fix this or can anyone fix this? It’s driving me insane.
Sounds like you’re beating a dead horse. They’re not all the same size shoe so any attempt at centering or perfecting an aspect ratio is going to make them not aligned perfectly. It also looks like some of your images have semi-transparent pixels so that would affect the “bottom” as well. What is the “bottom” anyway? If you have a baseball shoe with big cleats, is the sole the bottom, or is the bottom of the cleat the bottom?
Not to mention that importing images into Shopify’s compression isn’t going to be pixel-perfect anyway. It’s close enough to the naked eye that it really doesn’t matter.
I suppose to use your example the bottom would be how you define it, if you define it as the bottom of the cleat then all images should be aligned to the bottom of the cleat. There are plenty of Shopify store that are able to align hi-tops with low-tops perfectly I just want to know how it’s done as “close enough” isn’t good enough.
