I’m building a theme that I’m going to sell via my website not from Shopify marketplace.
And I’d like to give the possibility to users to test the theme before buying it (you can try it but can’t publish nor see its source code until you buy it)
Pixel union and Out of the sandbox give you this possibility, they sell some of their themes outside the Shopify marketplace and thru their app you can test the theme. They were able to place the “Theme trial” badge and hide the “Edit code” from the dropdown menu, just like when you Try a theme thru Shopify marketplace.
I’d like to know if this is achievable in some way (perhaps an app) or they get a “Privileged” treatment from Shopify to do that?!
(I’m asking about the privilege thing because Pixel union is also able to embed their store demos inside a iframes, and we all know Shopify doesn’t allow “normal” devs to do that..)
