Hey, so i’ve opened up a website and made a store beforehand, before i make the products. The problem is that i have opened it up way too early and i don’t want to pay the monthly subscription fees as i am not using the store. Though, i would like to use it in the future when i have my products ready to sell. So, am i able to stop payments and continue payments when i’m ready to open? thanks
No, it would not be possible to have access to your Shopify store while stopping the payments. If the account is older than 60 days, then you’ll have access to either the Full Pause plan or the Pause and Build plan.
- The Full Pause allows you to fully pause your store without paying the Shopify subscription, restricting access to the admin but keeps a landing page active for 3 months.
- The Pause and Build plan allows you to keep your store active, and provides admin access for $9/month USD but disables the checkout process
If your store is not older than 60 days, then the only option to avoid paying the monthly subscription would be to fully close your store; which can be reactivated at a later time when you are ready to start selling. We can guarantee that your data will remain on the account for a minimum of 30 days.
