Any improvements that I need to make?

Topic summary

A store owner seeks feedback on their coffee-themed e-commerce site (acupofcoffee.store) to improve sales potential.

Main Issues Identified:

  • Header/Footer Spacing: Excessive whitespace pushes important content below the fold, reducing visibility on initial page load
  • Homepage Images: Three featured images lack clickable links or calls-to-action directing visitors to products/collections
  • Trust Signals Missing: No customer reviews, “About Us” section, or brand story to establish credibility and differentiate from competitors
  • Contact Information: Only a Gmail address provided; lacks physical address, phone number, or business registration details—raising potential trust concerns
  • Payment Options: Only PayPal displayed at bottom; should showcase additional methods (Shopify Pay, etc.)

Suggested Improvements:

  • Restructure header (move logo left, center navigation, remove unnecessary links)
  • Add shoppable hotspots or direct product links to homepage images
  • Implement sticky “Add to Cart” button for long product descriptions
  • Make primary CTA buttons more prominent
  • Include customer testimonials and professional contact details

Overall, reviewers note the site has good navigation and no performance issues, providing a solid foundation for optimization.

Hello @coffee781871 ,

The 2 things I noticed:

  1. Header too much space in header. I think because of the header size.

  2. Footer Same too much space.

Guleria

One thing you can do is make it easier for visitors to find your most popular products

Here how:

  1. Replace your header images with images of your top products

  2. Install an app like Shoppable Image Hotspots

  3. Use the app to link to the products in the images

That way people don’t have to take time to find your products. They can see them and buy them right away. The harder it is for visitors to find products, the less likely they are to buy

The app with the right pictures will help reduce friction and lead to more sales

Hello there @coffee781871 I glanced through your store and for starters it was quite easy to navigate through and I experienced no lagging which is a good place to start from.
As for the store features, I think it will be nice to have a little section for the brand story or an “About Us” where you share some details about the team behind the store and what got you into the business in the first place. In addition to the FAQs you already have in place, it could help distinguish you from others in the same line of business.
If you have made any sales before even if they happened to be offline or maybe from a different online site, you should try get some reviews from there and include in your homepage. This would help the credibility of your store.

At the bottom of the homepage, I noticed PayPal was the only accepted method of payment indicated in that section. It would be much better for your store to include many more such as Shopify Pay, Payoneer, etc in there as long as they are feasible.

Hi @coffee781871

First of all, you did a very good job overall. It is a nice-looking store even if it is based on a default theme.

A few things you should consider and improve:

  • As @Guleria said, the header is taking up too much space, and with that, it pushes more important content down and does not show it on the initial load. I think you could move the logo to the left, and the menu to the center (you can remove Home link, and rename All to Shop All, Blogs is empty so do not deserve a link there :slightly_smiling_face: )
  • On homepage, you have 3 great images, a nice choice but they do not have any action connected to them, some text and links tothe collection would be good
  • On collection pages, not sure you need filter and sort for now, plus that sort-by needs to be fixed
  • On the product page, the Add to cart button should be more noticeable (it is a theme issue)
  • And you have a good, long description but while scrolling I think a second, sticky add-to-cart would be a good fit.
  • You could use a section or two for additional customer reassurance there, real reviews
  • And finally, contact information, just a Gmail email is not enough, that is what most scammers do, so do not be like them. I would not buy anything from the store that do not have a real address, phone, and business registration info is a plus. And an email from the domain also sounds more trustworthy.

Good luck with the store
