I’m looking for a Shopify product configurator that allows customers to design crystal bracelets online. We sell single crystal beads (clear quartz, amethyst, etc.), each as an individual variant. When a customer clicks on a bead, it should be added to the bracelet, and the left side should display a live preview of the complete bracelet. The right side would show multiple beads, charms, and accessories, and customers should be able to add, move, remove, or reorder items freely. Finally, the complete selection should be added to the cart with all chosen beads correctly recorded in the order.

Does anyone know of an app that can do this, or what app LucidBeads might be using?

Hey @awen111111 , I have no idea how they built this but the lucidbeads website is not a Shopify store so that functionality was not made using a Shopify App. Is this the kind of thing that is popular amongst bracelet and jewelry stores or is this something that not many stores offer?

There aren’t many stores that offer this, but this type of visual presentation provides a much better experience for customers. For example, this website is built on Shopify and implements a similar functionality: https://www.hayloandco.com/products/custom-charm-necklace. I’m wondering if there are any Shopify apps or plugins that can achieve something like this.
So I took a closer look at that site and I figured out how they are doing this. The product configurator is powered by an app called Go Kick Flip. I put a link to their website at the bottom of my response.
It seems like haylocandco set up their product configurator on Go kick Flip and then manually embedded it onto their website. Go Kick Flip is not a Shopify App, but it should work for you as well.

With this solution you can solve the problem of displaying a live preview and user will dynamically see the selected options.

However, our bracelet requires selecting 16 crystal beads, plus three additional option rows.
If every variation needs to be created through different images, the overall workload would be extremely large,
so this approach may not be the best fit for us at the moment.

to approach that level of quality that’s either a full custom build with app and advanced theme customizations , or you just need to trudge through shortlisting apps alone or hiring help.
And throwing dynamic 3D into the mix can generally means you better have a serious budget or reset expectations to 2D image previews.
To DIY on the cheap looking for either apps through keywords like product-options, variant options, personalization, etc.

And or possibly doing this through bundling apps ,and or advanced theme customizations.

You can definitely create a multi-step crystal bracelet builder with a live preview exactly as you described, and Easify Product Options supports all of these features out of the box—no coding required.
Here’s an example I’ve created so you can see how it works:
You just set up options like Charm 1, Charm 2, Charm 3 and display them as Image Swatches. Each charm (A, B, C, etc.) has its own image, so the preview updates immediately as customers make their selections. To charge for each charm, simply enter the amount in the Price field—each charm can have its own price, and the total updates automatically based on what the customer chooses, with no formulas or coding needed.
If you need a setup where the base image is an empty bracelet, each charm selection appears as its own layer in the correct position, and Easify automatically overlays the selected charm onto the preview to build the final design step by step, the app fully supports this workflow.
