Any way to manually set the default country on checkout?

Hi all - I’m getting very frustrated with how Shopify selects the default country when checking out. On my US store, Shopify keeps adding a European country as the default, which means my US customers are seeing a massive VAT tax charge which they don’t have to pay. This is increasing my abandoned carts.

Anyone have any ideas on how to set the default country manually?

Hello. I have the same problem. Cart Permalinks don’t work and wrong country is selected. How can I remove default countries or make permalinks work?
