Effective July 1, Universal Analytics is being deprecated by Google and will stop processing new data.
You must take the actions below if you wish to continue to track customer behaviour, analyze store traffic, and deliver relevant ads to the right audiences.
If you have already upgraded to Google Analytics 4 and/or migrated your Meta pixel, then no action is required.
Google Universal Analytics (UA) is being ended. If your analytics are still being tracked by an initial Universal Analytics setup, you’ll stop getting data coming in on July 1st. You need to upgrade to Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and get that set up for your Shopify store, if you haven’t already. You can find Shopify guides here:
I think they have changed some things around in the admin. I would suggest
Log into the “Google & YouTube” sales channel on your store
Click “Settings”
Scroll down to “Your Google Analytics Property”
See if you have a connected tag, and which type it is
You can also log into your Google Analytics account to see if it is processing any analytics data. But if you haven’t set up UA yet, it shouldn’t show. Good luck
