Anyone else keep getting logged out constantly.

It seems to just randomly log you out.

Thank you for reaching out. Can you tell me what browser and device you are using when you’re being logged out? How often does this happen?

firefox 121.0

timing varies, its not specific to one computer.

Issue is not browser specific.

Its not computer specific and occurs in 2 different locations.

I already started a ticket on it.

same here, I am using chrome on mac os and windows always be logged out since 2 weeks ago.

@Victor_5 this is also happening to me for the past week (NEVER has before). It is happening across multiple devices, I’m using Chrome. I’ve tried clearing cache. I can be in the middle of working on something actively, like creating a new product, and it will send me to the login screen and lose everything I was working on. Sometimes it will give me an error first or do the ‘are you sure you want to leave page’… when I did not ask to leave the page.

It is happening several times per day now. I am not doing anything differently at all than I have for the past few years of using Shopify. This is definitely on Shopify’s end.

Chat support was not helpful AT ALL.

@JustinNJ it is doing it to me several times per day even when I’m actively working on something. It’s been doing it for about a week now. Never in my years of using Shopify has it done this before. @Shopify_77 needs to fix this. It is not on our end.

Yep same issue aswell! i’ve tried reaching out to shopify multiple times and no reply. they usually reply to my tickets but mustn’t want to try and fix this issue? :thinking:

@Maurice_CMCGold @JustinNJ yep they don’t ever care. my ‘chat advisor’ hasn’t responded to me in several days now that I asked to be transferred because they clearly don’t understand the issue. they keep sending me a link to Shopifys internal (employee only) website. I’ve tried telling them several times and they just keep sending the same link that you need a shopify employee login for.

Same issue. Started last month.
Multiple computers, multiple browsers, multiple locations.

More often than not, if I get up from the computer, to help with anything in the store, I have to relog in when I sit back down. If I simply hit the button to sign back in, it generally errors and tells me something like the store doesn’t exist. I back out, try again, and it logs back in…but sends me to the dashboard away from the page I was working on.

Yes, that’s the exact scenario I get as well.

Make me log in then go to a dead page and have to back out.

Whats interesting is I was getting the 2-factor requests randomly when working from home (that part has at least not been happening anymore)

But I was not getting them in my office.

mine did that too on the 2FA for a day or so. It wouldn’t let my one computer login for several hours because it kept saying ‘code expired’ even within seconds. that part stopped for me too, but ever since this stupid login window keeps showing up.

@Victor_5 this was just now. In the middle of editing products. It gives me this ‘leave page’ (when I don’t try to), then goes to the login screen and loses everything I was working on. Your chat team was absolutely worthless and told me this is ‘normal’. How is this at all normal? In years of using Shopify this was never an issue until these past two weeks.
