My shopify analytics page keeps mis recording product costs. Like we will make a cost as $232.76 and it will mess up our entire income for the year by marking the cost as $232,760. It appears to be a glitch in shopifys system, because the past 3 times it has happened, the COG amount remained correct however it misreported in the analytics.
Is there a way to change this retroactively after an item sells? We need this done for end of year taxes and accounting.
Also, anything that we can do to stop this from happening? Once again confirming it is not a human input error. The sold item’s listing will still have the correct product cost to us, just misreports it in the analytical reports
