API-imported orders tax calculation

Dear Shopify Community,

we have an issue with taxes calculation for API-imported orders.

We spoke several times with support agents who finally advised us to move here.
We tried several changes and now have the following JSON (as per support hints) sent for order creation:

As you may see we added customer details and shipping address which includes the country of goods delivery (we were instructed that Shopify takes this field for taxes calculation).

So far - no tax in the order:

So we have no idea what we do wrong and what is the reason for Shopify to skip taxes calculation.

Is tax being applied as expected for orders that are not made via the API?

yes, all orders from our POS and Online Store channels have taxes applied as per our setup
