When it comes to deprecation, this would be communicated through the changelog well in advance. You can also keep an eye on the App Bridge GitHub as well!

Let me expand on my first response to add some context.

At the moment, we do not have a published roadmap for future versioning or deprecations in App Bridge. This type of info will be made available through resources such as those mentioned above, and updated in our developer documentation.

Tool specific GitHub repos are generally a great platform to submit feedback directly to our development teams - but I can pass on some feedback internally to flag your interest.

Also, as a developer, it’s a best practice to update your app to the most recent versions to offer the best experience for your merchants as it will make your app more performant, flexible, and it will have the latest features.
