App embed block is not injected if </head> tag is not formatted correctly

Hi,

We have found some cases where the html tag in the theme.liquid asset is missing or is not formatted correctly (something like ). In these cases, the app embed blocks are not injected in the storefront. Could you please take a look?

Thanks for following up here! What I would suggest here is to reach out to our support teams so that they can take a look at the specific theme/store. If this is happening with Shopify Developed themes, our technical theme support teams will be able to look in to that specific store and escalate as necessary.

Ok, but I can’t find anywhere in the support contact to speak about app embed blocks. Please, could you tell me a contact email or similar?

This may be an important issue as it is not only affecting me. It is impacting to any app that is using app embed blocks with the “target: head” configuration, making it not injected in the storefront.

Hello,

It’s been a year with this problem and it is it still wrong. Shopify has suggested that I contact with the ‘support teams’, but there is no a direct way to do so.

I know that missing a closing tag in the theme.liquid template may be strange, but there are several themes and third-party theme optimization apps that do this.

Since app embed block with ‘head’ target is injected before the closing tag (according to https://shopify.dev/docs/apps/build/online-store/theme-app-extensions/configuration#app-embed-blocks),,) I am just asking that in case the closing tag does not exist, the app embed block be injected somewhere.

Please, could you take a look?
