I am looking to see if someone knows of an app that can suggest to customers that they can add more items to their cart without increasing their shipping charges? I am trying to combat abandoned carts based on people bailing once they see the shipping charges. What most don’t realize is that, based on the weight of a package, if they order more products, the shipping charges don’t necessarily increase.
For example, they can order 1 item and the shipping charge is $8.00. Based on the weight of the product, they could also order 5 of that same item and it would still only cost $8.00 to ship.
I’m trying to figure out a way to notify people in their carts at checkout that could integrate with the carrier’s weight based rates.
