Expected behaviour is as soon as app developer updates app configurations from app setting like app proxy path this change should reflect automatically for all installed store of the app

We changed app proxy path for staging app from /apps/xto /apps/y after changing this based on shopify documentation, we thought that this change will propagate to all installed merchant of the app.
Unfortunately this is not working as expected, stores with app installed are not reflecting these changes of app proxy path.
There is a lack of information on how these changes will propagate, any time taken by shopify update these across merchant of the installed app.
Anything here would be helpful.
