We run a pet accessories Shopify store with a retail space and we’re currently facing a limitation at checkout. Some of our products are available only for in-store pickup, while others are available only for shipping.
Right now, Shopify doesn’t allow customers to purchase pickup-only and shipping-only items in the same order. Instead, it f doesn’t allow the customer to proceed with the order.
We’re looking for an app or workaround that allows customers to:
- Add both types of products (pickup-only and shipping-only) to the same cart
- At checkout, split the delivery method automatically (i.e., pickup for some items, shipping for others)
- Ideally, show a clear message or breakdown so the customer knows what will be shipped and what must be picked up
Does anyone know of an app that supports this type of hybrid fulfillment logic?

After spending a few hours chatting with Zapiet’s customer service, I finally understood that the app does not split a single order if it includes items that are pickup-only and others that are shipping-only. Customers still have to place two separate orders — one for the pickup items and another for the shipping ones. So unfortunately, I’m back where I started when I first posted this message.
Does anyone have another suggestion?
I am afraid that Zapiest doesn’t allow pickup only products and shipping only products to be part of the same order. do you have any other suggestion?
I have exactly the same problem, I set the weight of collect only items to 1000kg and have a shipping policy for items at that weight that says shipping is £100,000 and an appropriate message.
