Apply coupon to the collection and product page

I have a coupon that applies a 10% discount to products from a specific collection, but when applied via URL, for example /discount/coupon name, the collection on the storefront does not change the value; it only shows at checkout. Is there a way to apply this coupon and have it display both on the collection page and on the product page as well?
