I am receiving Shopify emails that my site which uses a free Shopify template may be subject to trademark infringement. I have replied to say so and now am getting more emails seeking me to provide other information. Something does not seem legit. Is it? Or is this a scam?

this definitely does sound shady as Shopify would naturally reach out to you directly through notification on your store if there was such an issue. I suggest you get in touch with Shopify customer support and show them some of these emails to see what it’s all about. In the meantime, make sure not to click any links or give out your personal information.

Check the email they send, if it doesn’t end with @shopify.com, be careful it could be a scam.
