Are there rules around dropshipping sunglasses to the US?

I’ve been selling Sunglasses from stock I imported to the UK for the past month or so but I’m interested in dropshipping. I read somewhere that I cannot sell my shades to US customers without jumping through loads of expensive legal hoops because of regulations. If this is the case, how come so many people can dropship sunglasses to the US so easily?

Any info on the subject is much appreciated!

The us customs requires FDA drop test certificate for glasses shipping to USA, thus no matter you dropship from UK or China, once the package checked at the us customs you need to provide the file to get it pass through, else it will be destroyed.
