With Shopify’s legacy customer account pages being deprecated, are you already starting dev work to move features into the new customer account?
Curious if teams are actively migrating now, or holding off in case legacy sticks around a bit longer.

Hello @tim_129 ,
I hope you are doing well!
Basically, most of the stores that don’t need heavy customization are moved to a new customer account, and those stores that need customization are working on ways to create the customizations in the new customer account and move on with that.
This is related to the customizations on your store’s Customer Account page and how much you can simplify them. If you have customizations that are considered essential and their migration would take time, it may be better not to disrupt what is currently working and instead plan a gradual transition.
Also, Shopify is not going to remove Legacy ones immediately, so waiting for New Customer Accounts to mature a bit more could also be a sensible approach, as there is still some ground to cover there.
I think they introduced customer account 2 years ago
and until now its still buggy.
and last Feb they said they will be shutting down classic this year or something…
are you guys hoping classic will still exist in the year or 2?
