Are you also frustrated with the new orders page layout?

Is anyone else as frustrated as I with this new orders page? Finding and sorting things is a mess. Why does Shopify fix things that nobody has asked to fix. It simply causes headache, retraining, and slows our normal daily process down. Shopify, can you please go back to the old orders. If it’s not broke, don’t fix it!

We would also like our search bar (products, etc.) to be visible by default please.

Lots and lots of threads about this. The same thing happened when they deleted our ability to search for customers when they added a coder-only type customer segment thing. At least they added back in the ability to search for the customers. You can’t search your orders or your products though!

Hi everyone, thanks for reaching out in our Community Forums.

We’ve recently rolled out a redesign of filtering and search functions across the Shopify platform. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts about this update with us and can completely understand that this may have caused a disruption to your current workflows.

As Shopify is ever-growing, we’re constantly seeking out feedback from our merchants and partners alike. So I’ll go ahead and pass along all the information you’ve shared with me here today to the appropriate internal teams. Please know that we value your continuous feedback as it helps us to improve our platform for all of our users, so we greatly appreciate you in reaching out to us about this.

To keep up to date with any new releases to the platform, please keep an eye out on our Shopify Changelog here.

I always hear about the shopify dev team seeking customer feedback on changes but so often it seems a change is rolled out that’s a big step backwards in the actual admin experience when using a real store not just in a dev environment.

Is there any way to sign up to be on a beta testing/user testing program to provide actual feedback to design and dev updates before they’re rolled out globally?

Hi, @welcomebrand .

To clarify, rather than collecting interested users via a sign-up form, at this stage beta testing and early releases are rolled out to eligible and selected stores who meet the criteria as set out by the specific product and developer teams. This allows our teams to gather feedback from the stores during the beta stage, before they are fully released across the platform.

At times, you may also see a beta feature in our Help Center documents. In this case, you can contact our live support team for more information about the beta, as they’ll be able to check on whether or not the respective product team owning the beta is open to taking store requests for early access.
