Attribution Window Length for Shopify Analytics

Hi Shopify Community!

I have a question regarding the attribution window length for Shopify Analytics.

I found information from Google stating that “Amazon Attribution utilizes a 14-day, last-touch attribution model.”

This means that for a click to get credit for a conversion, the conversion needs to happen within 14 days of the click."

Does anyone know the number of days for the attribution window for Shopify Analytics? I want to better understand how Shopify tracks and attributes conversions to marketing efforts, at the same time benefit everyone else that might be looking for the same answer. (Can’t find it on the internet or community so far)

Thanks in advance for your help!

Warmest regards,

Caleb

Hi @PearlMax

Thank you so much for your detailed response! It’s incredibly helpful to know that the default attribution window length for Shopify Analytics is 30 days and that it can be customized within the Shopify admin.

Plus, understanding that Shopify uses a “last click” attribution model is super valuable for assessing our marketing channels’ effectiveness.

I really appreciate your help and the time you took to answer my question!

However, I’m having trouble finding the option to customize the attribution window within my Shopify admin dashboard. You mentioned going to “Settings” and then “Checkout,” but I couldn’t find it there. Could you please give me a hand on where exactly I can locate this setting?

Thanks a bunch for your assistance, and I look forward to your response!

Warmest regards,
Caleb
