We are wanting to build a shopify app specifically around functionalities to do with auditing store admin. Webhook topic for auditing the store admin - Shopify Changelog
Right now we can see a few limitations for this and would love to see what the future roadmap is and if their are plans we should be aware of.
Custom App only .. is this always going to be the case? - we would love to be listed on the app store
Shopify Plus only … is this always going to be the case? - We would love to work with all businesses eventually.
Is there a possibility these admin functions will be limited or expanded further over time?
Is there any other Documentation guides or things we should be aware of that we could look at?
Hey @TyChapman - thanks for getting in touch, these are all good points. I don’t have anything specific to share at the moment in terms of a roadmap for admin event auditing, but I did want to touch base to see if you’d like to provide a use case in terms of where you see certain limitations (excluding the Custom/Plus app only limitations - I definitely understand how those caveats could be limiting for sure).
I can’t guarantee anything in terms of a response or new features being added, but if you did want to provide a high level overview of what you wanted to build using the webhook subscription, I’m happy to get in touch with our product team to see if I can share anything further with you or at least pass it on to them as feature feedback/a request.
