When the checkout page loads, the marketing opt-in is checked by default, then changes to unchecked after 1 second.
I have ‘Preselect checkbox in certain regions’ set to All and cookies turned off.
What could be causing this?
If I try select the checkbox again, it renders to unchecked once again after.
It’s an issue with the setup, do you mind sharing your collaborator code & store url so i profer a tailored solution.

This is NOT a setup, settings, or configuration problem.
This is system-wide behavior, able to be replicated on any Shopify checkout. My guess is that it’s automatically selected by default, then a location check happens and unchecks it.
Update: Shopify confirmed the bug and fixed it.
“Our Tech Team has successfully located the root cause of the issue and deployed a fix to your store. We have conducted several tests across our end, and I can confirm that the marketing opt-in checkbox is now appearing as pre-selected for all of your shipping regions, exactly as configured in your settings.”
It wasn’t just your store, it affected a lot of stores that I checked. Glad to see it’s fixed though.
